SMT5600 SIM Lock

I just got my Audiovox SMT5600 replaced by cingular's warranty program and the new phone has this message when i turn it on "Network is locked. Please input unlock code." and it said "SIMLock" on the top left. I've tried everything i can think of and i called cingular and they gave me a few codes to try but those didn't work. I've tried other SIM cards and it doesn't work? any one have any ideas on how to fix this? I'm in desperate need of help since i can't access my phone

Is your SIM from Cingular?
Does it tell you which network it is locked to? What company is on the startup splash screen?
If you can get one of their SIM cards, you can unlock the phone for free, using the tools developed by SPV-developers.
