This actually isn't a bug in the new AIM, it's a bug in the AIM service itself (I think).

In the 2.0 OS I *never* properly showed as idle even though I had that option checked. For me, upgrading to 2.3 seemed to fix that problem for me.

It seems to be worse if you log into AIM from mutliple different clients.

I don't know if there's a "fix" or not for it, it seems to clear up on it's own.

Danger confirmed the (fido) hiptop will eventualy get 2.3 ,but still no fido users have reported getting any updates yet. Maybe fido gets it later?

I got it finally yes with the help of southstar and then whole trick to getting the ota thread yess

They send the OTA one Provider at a time. After TmoUSA is finished, I am not sure who is next in line.

Got my update! Don't know how many times I had to reboot to get it, didn't keep track. It's awesome!
