This thread is about RESTORING and BACKUP of SMS messages stored in phone memory.

My findings:
The only program i found that is capable of doing these is LeaderGL FlexEditor. BUT it cannot read the sms properly. It gives a lot of error and some messages are cut off short (incomplete).

I stumbled over some seems before that may contain the Messages stored in the phone.. I cant remember exactly what the seem addresses are but they are there...

So if somebody can elaborate more on how to read sms in the phone, please help!

If you know anything else about this topic, please post your findings. Thanks!

LeaderGL, any chance you can update FlexEditor to read SMS correctly? Thanks.

Use p2k tools to rip all the seems, then search amongst them for your messages.

From what I remember it is all in the same seem, but it has multiple records.

Ok. Thanks, i'll be doing that. But that is a LOT of seems to look at. There must be... MANY seems to open and check out.. I'll try my best but anyone else got some suggestions? Maybe someone else found where the Messages are stored exactly... or a program that can do it automatically.

One last thing,
Mobiledit does not work.
MPT i think does not backup and restore.

So we need to find another way.

Bump!

P2kTools_v0.8.6.0 reads the SMS properly but it does not have an option to RESTORE it back..

Please, if anyone can help me please do.

I can't upgrade my phone if i dont have a way to restore my sms back. Thanks.

FlexEditor 9.9 doesnt have errors but messages are displayed as numbers...

Please anyone help? Im sure somebody knows something about this...

Set P2kTools to AT Mode. Then click messages.

Btw, i found how to Backup and Restore Messages. Thanks to LeaderGL.

Messages are located at:
SeemID: 007D
Record ID: from 0000 to 00FF

Messages are stored in these seems. Yay.

Does this seem have both inbox and outbox messages in it? Were you able to do this successfully?

If you lock SMS messages are the then stored on your sim. if so, is there a way you can backup the sms messages from the sim card to a pc.

if this is true too, can it be used as a way to transport messages from one phone to another
