Can BB 7520 be used as PC Modem?

Is there software that allows me to connect the BB 7520 to my PC via the USB cord and thus use it as a wireless modem to access the internet when I don't have wired or WiFi access?

I used such a setup utilizing the DataPilot software with my old Verizon cell phone before I switched to the BB / Nextel.

According to Mark Rejhon at Blackberry forums (http://www.blackberryforums.com/showthread.php?t=2019), no one on Nextel or Telus has managed to get the 7520 to work as a modem.

I know that iDEN is not capable of the speeds seen on CDMA-1X or EDGE/GPRS devices. Likely you could expect 14.4 at most. Assuming that you could get it to work, such speeds wouldn't be bearable...

Guess I will just have to use the BB and forget the PC for the one week a month that I am in a remote location without access to Dial-up, WiFi or Boradband..
