Alright guys, I've decided to leave Cingular..I had a couple questions:

-- What would happen with my Cingular Rewards points? How much time do I have to use them and will I still be rewarded for my points from this month and the previous month?
-- What do I do with my phone? How long will it stay actice..and do I have to return it? I don't want the company to charge me for the phone.
-- How does it work with holiday pay and such? Will I get one final pay check?

Thanks for the help guys. I checked with my manager and stuff and it seems that nobody in corporate knows anything.

You will lose your points once you are out of the system but I would use them before you leave. On the rewards page it tells you when the period ends and you should typically get your points about a month later. If you quit before then you wont get your points.

Managers have the right to take your phone back, typically if you have been their for a while they wont do this. You usually get 30-60 days untill your service is cut off, I only got 30 while another friend got four months!

Holiday pay will be paid out in one final check.

If you have 401k make sure you either roll into to your next companies 401k or roll it over into an ira so that you don't get taxed unless you want to cash out (I wouldn't recommend that).

These answers aren't 100% but that's what happened to me.

he's about right.

points: use them before you leave. Another rewards thing I've done with AT&T gave you 90 days and if hadn't logged in within that time your account was gone. Not sure how this one will work but again, use them if you can.

Phone: usually managers will ask for your phone back and your service would most likely be disconnected at that time. Some managers here let the employees buy back their phone for $10-$20 but of course you have to activate your own service. You will also not be allowed to keep your same number.

Holiday pay: ivwshane is correct on this. Take the advice given about the 401k.

points: i have talked to a commission manager about the points, actually they will pay you out the points. I think it was 4 cents per point or something like that. Not sure it's 3 or 4 cents! I'm positive that they will pay u out though!!
