what does TTY mean

I seen this on my BB 7520 and i dont know what it means or what this options is for can someone help with this.

It's for people who can't hear/talk. It stands for Tele Type writer.

I don't think the option takes up much space, but you may as well uninstall it if you're not going to be using it.

I have a 7520 and do not see this program... As a police officer I would love to have this... Does anyone know where I can get it or how it works?

Go to Phone, Options, TTY and change NO to YES.

Thank you dusty sadle... Sorry to pest, but at that point I see TTY in the top left of my screen... Does this then mean when I call a TTY residence I can just type text to the person? Also will it work both ways? I.E. I can call a TTY number and type text and vice-versa if I receive a TTY call I can type text as well?

Bob,

I'm not sure just how TTY works. You might want to query Mark Rejhon, here on the forum. I believe that he uses it.
