Verizon 7250 software update?

Does anyone know when we should be expecting a new software release? I called Verizon today, and they were not forthcoming...

From what I have heard the new software is in its final testing stage. Anywhere from a couple of weeks to 2 months. This is the EVDO release that everyone has been waiting for.

I've heard about the EVDO software upgrade. Does that mean they are planning on switching customers to EVDO? Additional charge or same price as now? I would guess they will charge more for EVDO access, but not sure.
