Who/what do I need to contact to become an agent?

For Cingular?

You see, the reason I'm considering this now is because Cingular is jumping into our area, putting towers up and what not. The nearest corporate store is an hour's drive away, so I think an Authorized Agent set up would do good up here.

I read something about contacting a master agent. Is there a list of these people that I might get in contact with for the middle TN region?

Thanks for the help.

Your best bet would probably be to try to call the nearest corp. store and speak with the manager. Either he/she will be able to meet with you, or they should be able to give you a contact for someone who would be able to help you out. Also, check your PMs.

*Whew* I had a good laugh there. I remember when I first tried to get information to start selling Cingular. Care WILL divert you to corp. Corp will look at you like you were crazy!... ah....those were the days.....

try www.cingular.com
I hate that site but hey, maybe you'll find what you're looking for on their "site map".

I hadn't yet, but I guess I'll blindly click until I find what I seek.

Well, okay. Seems my terminology has been bad all along:

Try to Google for Cingular agent. There is some info there.

I did try that originally and came up dry.

So it looks like an apply and see is in order? I didn't expect more, I'm guessing it keeps the rif raf away.

That does seem to make sense.

Top of the state to your east, in the Eloqui Service area. Byrdstown and the like.

No Cingular towers or service area nonetheless yet, but it's coming.
