8900 Image Help

I am able to take images from my computer and email them to my Audiovox 8900 (I have the Cricket version). Once the image is saved on my phone, it saves to the Media Gallary. Once the image is there, I can not do anything with it (i.e. set as wallpaper, caller ID, ect.), I can only view the image.
Anyone know how to get around this?
