910a email problems

Using the email program that came with SE and using Fido GPRS. I can't seem to send a email to a address with a period ie: xxxx.xxxxx@shaw.ca won't go through, yet xxxxxxxxx@shaw.ca will.
I get a message that says to check address as it is not allowed?
Any suggestions....
ps I can do it through Outlook

Never had that problem. Try using a third party email app.

I tried Profimail and it did the same thing. I am sure it is the "Period" in the email address before the @ xxx.xxxx@xxxx.ca.
I would of thought somebody either would have had this problem, or they can do it and the issue is with me or something
