S40- IrdA menu not found

I can't find where to sync my phone via IR. This option doesn't seem to available in the menu.

Synchronizing the S40 to your PC must be done through the XTENDPC software. Begin by executing XTEND viewer.

The IrDA operations menu is reached by pressing the center navigation key UP. Then scroll to IrDA operations - it's one of the last options. It won't show up for a minute or so after you first insert a SIM card (but then, neither will the directory).

You should call Siemens Customer Care at 1.888.777.0211 in the U.S. (Canada and United States) for assistance. They're open every day from 0700-2200 Central time.

Thanks. I had to activate the engineering menu in order to see the IrDA option. Now I'm happy.

That's not possible. The IR menu is not related to and does not appear in the engineering menu.

No it's not in the Eng. menu. But I wasn't able to see it until I activated the Eng. I know it sounds weird, but I went up and down that menu after pressing up. Browser and IrDA were not available options. Right after I loaded the Eng, they popped in.

It's a normal behaviour if several menu entries (like IrDA) take 1 or 2 minutes to appear after switching on the phone.
