Best Alarm Clock for RAZR V3?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

The Alarm Clock built in the RAZR V3 is pretty basic. Does anyone know of a 3rd party Alarm Clock that allows day settings? I found the InfoTime Alarm clock, but are there any free Alarm Clocks out there?

I've seen a few online, but they didn't work all that well. Does anyone happen to have a good ringtone to wake up to? Something suttle, perhaps beeping?

Thanks

AMBIENT MOOD (without a doubt)

Download onto your phone by either using Bluetooth from another phone with Ambient Mood or by using Mobile Phone Tools

What I'm looking for is a simple alarm clock like the Siemens style that allows you to set the alarm to repeat Mon - Fri only.

and where do I get the Ambient Mood ringtone?

Thanks!!!

Coming from T610 to Razr, I am very dissapointed with how really basic the alarm feature in Razr is (but its consisten with other features of the phone, i.e., everything is very basic and unsophisticated).

I used to use a recurring alarm in T610, I could select days of the week to wake me up. Nothing similar in Razr. Also, when you ACK the alarm, you have to remember to re-activate it for the next day.

Very dissapointing for an expensive phone.

Perhaps this will be fixed in a future firmware release.

that would be wicked

Its just a pitty that they did not think if things like these. There are many examples where Mot just ignored useability. Alarms is just one.

Retarded calendar (no recurent meetings), limited voice recorder, unsophisticated phonebook come to mind quickly. They don't cost a lot to implement, but Mot keeps skipping on things like there.

i agree...i loved my Nokia 6600 alarm...this one i keep forgetting to re-set everynight..actually looking to buy an alarm clock for the first time in MANY years

You can use the calendar w/ even reminders.

For example... this is my schedule for school:
M - 7:15-11:00
T - 7:00-11:00
W - 7:15-8:50
Th - 7:00-11:00
F - 9:40-11:00

So I set a calendar entry, "School" on Mondays & set it to Remind/Alert me 1 hour before the event, & I set it to repeat weekly. So that an alarm/reminder will go off every Monday.

I repeat the process for all the other days of the week. This is helpful b/c I don't wakeup at the same time everyday. But you can also set an event to repeat daily.

GOOD CALL! They didn't skip, they expect you to use the datebook thing probably! Or they were just lazy...

I still think that they skipped.

Calendar is a workaround for a recurring alarm, not a fix.

the calendar doesn't really work for me as an alarm. it only rings once for some reason, and doesn't keep on ringing until i tell it to stfu.

Well, the calendar is a workaround, although not a great one.

Has anyone seem a java Alarm Clock that works any better? Freeware, shareware, anything.

Its nearly 6 months later and i've just got a v3 and guess what, same stupid alarm. And should you use the calendar alerts and miss an alarm then the next one does not go off, and as another poster said, it only alarms once. whats the point in that, u could be in the kitchen and miss it.
