Hello Ho Fo members:
I was wondering if there was an easy way to use the Siemens SX 66 to dial in and get connected to my own service provider and not use Cingulars Data Minutes? I am sure there must be some way to accomplish this. I asked the guy at the Cingular store and he said he has hear his customers with the SX66 do this , but could not point me to any resources as Cingular wants you to use thier service.
I bet this is a simple question for some of you guru's out there so please enlighten me /us.
Regards

You need to have CSD enabled on your data plan in order to dial in like a regular modem. It allows you to use a seperate data line instead of the voice line.
I also remember hearing about this feature going away in the near future, so you might want to hurry.

Do you have specific instructions on how to do this? I will call Cingular and have them activate CSD if they will.?? We shall see?
If there are any writeups or resources I can study to make this happen please let me know?
