Calling All Blackberry BES Experts!

Perhaps one of you ultra-enlightened individuals can assist me:

I've finally bitten the bullet and switched over from myblackber*ry.us to mailstreet. Although the former is certainly an attractive price point for a 3rd party BES server, the deplorable customer service (I felt like a Texan in Paris) finally got to me when I couldn't get more than a one word response out of that ridiculous TICKET SYSTEM they use and had no email access for nearly 24 hours. That's just not acceptable in my opinion and although I can tell that he tries hard, he falls short at the end of the day if he's trying to deliver a professional product. Mailstreet, on the flipside, has top notch service and actually faster access to Outlook which is appealing.

Here's my question:

I can't get my wireless calendar to sync when I enter appointments from the Blackberry device. it works when I make an appointment from the Outlook calendar, but not when I change/delete the appointment or when I create an appointment on the device itself. It's very strange. Everything else- email/contacts/tasks work flawlessly and in truth Mailstreet has tried hard to remedy this problem. We've done several 'Wipes' and 'Enterprise Activation' but all to no avail. Any advice from the true techies in the crowd?

BTW, I'm using a 7250 on the Bell Mobility network.

Thank you for any advice suggestions.

1) get them to create a new mapi profile

if that doesn't solve the problem

1) use backup/restore/advanced/clear servicebook database
2) generate new encryption keys OR generate new encryption keys 3 times

if that doesn't solve the problem

1) use backup/restore/advanced/clear servicebook database
2) ask around/find a program called DBCLEAN.exe, they will need to run this from the CLIENT COMPUTER **DO NOT RUN ON THE BES**
3) from command prompt on the CLIENT COMPUTER run DBCLEAN twice (it will say something to the effect of nothing to delete)
4) try an enterprise activation or cradle your bb at the client computer and generate a new key.

This will clear out the BB entries on the MSX server, you'll have to reconnect and it should prompt to generate new encryption keys

Your problem should be solved.

if that still doesn't fix the problem

Find out if it's affecting everyone or at least a handful of people. It could be the CDO.DLL, the BES Admin will have to fix that himself.

Exactly what he said. It is very possible that it is the cdo.dll issue. This is a dll file on the BES that cab affect cal sync.

That rseponse went way over my head but I will follow it step-by-step and try and resolve the issue.

Thank you so much for the promptness and detail of your reply. This forum is truly an irreplacable resource.
