NES emulator for VX8100?

Hey guys, i'm new to the Howard Forums and I had a question for you.

I am switching carriers to Verizon in two weeks and plan on purchasing the VX8100. Reading your posts about adding mp3's and video to my new phone will help me alot, but I had a question.

Is there a way to put a NES emulator and some ROM's on my phone so that I can get my old school gaming going on during study halls in school? If there is an emulator that will run on the 8100 can you kindly direct me toward it?

Thanks,
MTBjunkie00

i highly doubt that you can inplant another program in the OS of the phone. It's a phone, not a computer..........well not yet at least. The only option you have as for games are the brew games.

I'm not saying that a program would have to be implanted in the OS. There could be some kind of java app that could run through Get It Now and be directed to search a MiniSD card for playable ROM's. Or am I wrong?

I think we need to remember it's a phone.
thats what the gameboy is for.

Ya but I'd rather be able to play Super Mario or Zelda or the hundreds of other great NES games than pay Verizon 10 bucks to have access to some game that I don't know what to expect out of for only 3 months of use.

and i want a toilet made out of solid gold but its just not in the cards, now is it?

LOL, u guys are rough. like no one here would love to have that done to their phone whether its just a cell or not. screw it then get rid of your mp3s, cameras, vids etc. better yet why not go get back that old giant motorola cell phone that could be used as a baseball bat. im all up for new ideas. as a matter of fact i could use a built in tooth pick on my cell.

I'm not quite sure but my friend runs a nes emulator and some games on his treo 650. Actually, he was doing this back on the 600. Freakin' awesome! I bet there's a way.

I just figured that sum1 knew a hack for the 8100 that might allow it. Thanks for the help anyways. Including the guy who can stick his solid gold toilet comment right up his, well you get the idea.

You can go with GSM and get a motorola mpx220 or SMT5600. those phones are highly modable (mp3's, AIM, videos in avi format, windows media player, being able to read excel files and microsoft word files, and so much more). Hope that helps

Sorry, didn't remember that from Austin Powers. In a bit of a bad mood lately because everyone around me seems to be a selfish @$#$#%@%@#%. But thats a whole different topic for a whole different forum.
