Question about copying to a SD card...

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I have a 1 gig Sandisk SD card for my Treo 650 and a Sandisk card reader... I'm trying to copy movies ripped from my own dvd's down to pda format onto the card, but unless I copy just one, they all get corrupt. So, if I copy just one movie to the card, it plays fine. If I copy two or more, it says the index is corrupt. What am I doing wrong?

Any help would be SO appreciated...

Did you make a movie folder and then copy the movies individually to the folder?

Works for me and my Treo 650 and Mpx 220

You need an application like Kinoma player inorder to be able to play video's.

I tried copying them to just the root, a movie folder, you name it. For my player I'm using TCPMP, but I'll try that other one and see if it works.

Whats odd is, if I copy two movies that are around 180 megs each, when I go into card info, it says I only have 14 to 15 megs left on the card..

It's just a generic program I found doing a google search called DVD2PDA... It rips down dvd's to play on the palm os and on pocket pc's.. It's not that bad and easy to use but takes about 4 hours to rip one movie..

use Pocket DVD way better it costs 32.00 from Handango but it's well worth it you can do a 2hr movie (i did rounders) in a little over and hour (which is almost half the real time of the the movie). what PocketDVD does is records the movie in a fast forward while it is playing in the program and doesn't re-encode so thats how you save your time. and has functions like set a start and stop time so you can cut out the credits and a "shut down computer" function so you gat do a movie right before you go to bed and write straight to the card

Hope this helps
