Need Help On Converting File Onto My 902sh

hi
i have some mpeg and avi file i wanna convert, but i have tried many asf converter i can find. After convert them into asf format, it can't be play on my 902, i did put it in the sd video folder, can any one tell me how they conver files and what are the steps plz?
