VX7000 USB/Software

Alright having tremendous trouble getting my computer to see the 'unknown device' as my vx7000. Now the cable I have has three plastic ridges whereas the 7000 has 2 slots but it plugs in fine and the computer sees that something is plugged in. This is a straight through USB cable. Ive searched and searched and downloaded every program and driver that I came upon and still nothing. Any ideas? Im running XP Pro....

You need the correct driver. Where did u purchase the cable?
