(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I'm new here, and have searched through the 3 pages of threads that I can find, and still have not found a detailed tutorial explaining how to start from the bare basics (phone and new MiniSD card) to putting mp3 ringtones on the card and onto the phone. I need the entire process if anyone can help me. Thanks a lot!

recently i made a post on help for this too and someone responded-check the software section of the site for LG...but...ill just post it here--this is wat the person wrote---

Well, the EASIST way to get your computer to play MP3s is to
a) buy a miniSD card
b) buy a adapter so your computer can connect to the miniSD
c) place the card in your phone, it will then create 4 folders. One of those folders is called "my_MP3s"
d) mount the miniSD card on your computer
d) Transfer your MP3 to your miniSD card in the "My_MP3" folder. Place the card back in your phone and tada! Tunes on your phone.

note this is for LX8100 ^

I believe that they are looking for ringtones, not how to put MP3s for the MP3 player.

How do you convert mp3 files as ring tones on the lg8100

This site will help you. It was created by another member of these forums. http://home.fuse.net/vx8100/

i have copied my mp3s to the MY_MP3 folder on my miniSD, I transferred the card into my phone and the phone read that the card had information stored on it, but I cannot get the mp3s to play on the phone. I even have V04 of the software

If they wont play, then they are not MP3 format. Take the card back out and put it in the computer. Open the my_mp3 folder and rightclick/properties on an mp3. It will tell you the file format of the file. You can download itunes for free and use it to convert all your music to MP3's that will play on your phone. www.itunes.com
