I looked into one of the local stores, and they wanted to charge me $150 for it, and thru the Cingular web, they were charging $90.. So getting this baby for FREE is way cool..

theres a faceplate tool kit on sale on the net. google it. its a plastic curve tool and a straight tool. u can use anything that can fit between the seals of the plate but if its not plastic you might run into marking the stock face.

I was pretty surpised when the piece that hides the screws popped off. I bent it a tad. Pretty crappy how it's just stuck on with adhesive, though. I straightened it out nicely, I just hope the adhesive holds, but if not, there's always dbl sided tape! For those of you contemplating changing your faceplate, please keep in mind that the panel you take of is very thin and easily bent! But, hey, my phone looks great! i can't find it.
i have the front faceplate partially removed but its not coming off around the hinge area. can someone please help me out?

screw the data cables get you a infrared adapter from ebay or somewhere. look for a irda adapter the one i got cost me like 10.00 and it connects every time on the first try no more messing with stupid cables.
