Answer: In case you're curious, yes, this happened to me this morning, when going to the hospital. As you know, there's all those signs telling you to turn off your cell phone inside. So I turned off my phone, and when leaving, I turned it back on. However, it would freeze (much like how a computer freezes) and none of the buttons would work, such as the power button. It would work only for a shortwhile. I tried all kinds of things to get it working, but after may different things, this is what ended up fixing it for me... First, to turn it off, you have to remove the battery. Then put it back, and switch it back on. Quickly, go to settings, and language. Put it in English or Japanese (the opposite of whatever it was in). Go back to idle screen. Now go into your menu again. Notice this time, everything is selecting very quickly again. You can now put it back into the langauge it was in before if you like. This should've fixed it. |

It is the Japanese version, and they say that I should not face any problems, well umm, thats not true lol But they have the best price, and i'll just wait for the proper unlock to hit the market. Meanwhile i'll need to buy a usb data cable to facilitate firmware upgrades etc. any idea where i could find one? searching 'sharp 903' on ebay just has a few phones and bunch of screen protectors. |

These settings that you found can be put into your phone's internet settings. From your main menu go to Connectivity\Internet Settings\APN Settings. Fill in the blanks. Then go to Connectivity\Internet Settings\Proxy Settings. Fill in the blanks. Lastly, and this is important: Go to Connectivity\Internet Settings\Web Settings and make sure to activate the new profile you've made. Then try Vodafone Live! If it doesn't find it at first, try typing in the URL of the homepage manually. Sometimes it doesn't find it perfectly automatically. It will not go to howardforums.com. The document is too big. The settings required are as follows: Primary IP: 208.200.067.150 Primary Port: 9203 Secondary IP: 208.200.067.151 Secondary Port: 9201 APN: goam.com Username: wapuser1 Password: wap HomePage: http://mymobilehomepage.rogers.com/ Good Luck! Let us know how it goes, and ask for help if you need it! Sincerely, yis903unposubl |

First, make sure you have your phone setting to GPRS and GSM. Second, this is for Cingular USA. I didn't clarify all the titles to reflect what's on 903, but it shouldn't be hard to figure out. i'm having some problems. Could someone tell me what's the specifications for setting mp3 as ringtones? size? format? I tried to save a mp3 as a ringtone but for some reason the handset manager doesn't recognize it. It doesn't show up in the box thingy w/ the list of files. Also, when i upload a .wav file into my phone, it gets converted into a amr file and can't be set as a ringtone. >.< how could i find out what firmware i have? i know i have a euro version, but there's numbers? i want to hide my operator txt and use full screen wallpaper...that bottom black bar is getting on my nerves =X I can't fingure out what's wrong w/ my MMS setting. I am able to receive MMS, but can't send anything out. Also, i can't access the internet. Can someone narrow it down for me and tell me which part of the setting is wrong? apn/warp/proxy/etc? btw...timsta no need to reply to my post. |

I just use bluetooth and transfer it to my phone, it detects it and i can assign as ringtone. I can send you a sample of a recent chinese song i cut and using as mp3 if you want? PM me. hope this helps. Bri~~ |

When I go to search forums I am allowed to select SHARP and its sub-folders BUT not just this one. Due to the size of it the search is almost impossible. Does anyone have any suggestions? Christian BTW - Has anyone encountered problem installing the 903SH USB Driver? |
