Background: I've read through a lot of the forum regarding upgrading an MPX220, including Omega's instructions. I'm using the updater which downloads the rom files. Cingular is the service provider.

Issue: When running the updater, the program says it's downloading, but does nothing. I've canceled and retried the install process many times with the same results.

Q: Does anyone have any insight as to what am I not doing correctly?

I had this problem, and then it timed out.

Turned out I had to start Activesync, and sync the phone, then run the updater.
