Excuse me?!?

Had an interesting call today. Customer insisted that his taxes should be no higher than $6.00/month on a $69.99 rate plan. He stated he was told this by a manager. Despite by best effort to explain the current fees & taxes, he demanded to s/w my supervisor. I advised him that he would be happy to transfer the call, and my manager backed me up when s/w the customer. Just can't imagine where he got that idea ????

state sales tax+city sales tax. guess he didnt figure in that cities and uncle sam like to take their own little cut past that.

i do agree with customers tho, the taxes are getting sovery high.

True but that's not cingular or any other carriers fault for that matter.

Complaining to your carrier won't accomplish anything. Blame your federal, state and local gov't instead. No communications carrier is exempt and everyone pays these charges (amount varies by your state/city).
