Would you buy SL75 without 850?

I e-mailed Siemens yesterday, asking whether or not they will introduce a version with 850. They only told me that the SL75 is an international model, therefore no 850. They also advised me to check the Canada site for more product. Don't know what that means, but the phones on the Canadian site are very outdated. Anyways, my question is would you buy it regardless of the 850 or wait for a later version with 850 or buy another phone instead? I really like the phone, it's probably the only classy phone with video ringtones and with a more reasonable price tag, but no 850?...

Depends on where you are in Canada. I travel alot and I found 1900 alone in some cities to be better than others, that being said remember that in some buildings and/or basements, outside city limits or certain geographical areas you may get spotty coverage or very poor call quality.

If you are a Rogers Wireless cx then I suggest an 850 enabled fone. You may survive on 1900 alone but you won't be able to take full advantage of the network if you're not using an 850 enabled device. I travel alot in Canada and have noticed significant difference w/ 850 regardless of what handset I used.

You can't even buy one though yet can you...i would for sure. I am on Cingular but in the Cayman Islands. One half of the island is 1900 and the other is 850.... but i never go to that area so i might as well grab one when it is available.

Not yet but very soon. Unfortunately for me, 850 is like a necesscity for decent recption. I've asked many people, and they told me that 850 is meeded badly. However, how many phones look upscale, have video ringtones, 50+mb and doesn't cost a fortune. I only know that the N840 has video ringtones as well, but that has been out awhile without proper BT. I know this may seem offtopic, but these are the two phones that really caught my attention. W600 was an option, but it does not have video ringtone and does not look well when I'm wearing a suit and tie. Any thoughts?

Hmmm very choice ,to be honest. I also cant decide if I would go with S66 OR S65. Since I go to Europe once in while the s66 is not usefull there.....

LCH,if you are most of your time in a big city, the sl75 would not be bad.
Like me, 850 is not big deal since I am in Toronto most of times and 1900 is amazing for me in the city.

Thank you for your insight. I guess I'll still stick to my plan of acquiring the SL75, unless I get like an unbelievable deal for a N840. Nokia seems to have 850 in most, too bad their phones either cost a fortune or doesn't look appealing enough.
