I need help with my 8910 and usb data cable

I went to ebay to get a USB Data cable for my Verizon Audiovox CDM-8910.
When I plug it in, it only works with "PC Sync" (the software that came with it). I can't get it to work with BitPim, and windows says it has trouble with the install of the drivers (the ones I installed off of the CD) and BitPim always says that the port that the phone goes through is busy. Please help, I am a total n00b at this!

Yeah, those driver CDs are crap. The companies that produce the cables, download drivers from the net, and sometimes they aren't for your particular phone.
Go to the Curitel thread, and downlaod that version of PC Sync Install that, reboot, and reinstall BitPim, QPST etc.
