Data loss on software upgrade? VX8100

Just wondering. If you have get it now games and stuff downloaded, then upgrade the software version, will you lose this data? For example, i have version 4, when 5 comes out, will i lose this data? Those of you that had previous versions, did you lose any get it now games, etc. when you upgraded to version 4? thanks!
