About 2 nights ago i accidentally dropped my RAZR in the toilet...I was unable to get it working again and i didn't have insurance on it...However, when i signed up for Cingular 2 weeks ago, I didn't get a phone...So this weekend i'm going to the Cingular store where i got my plan...I liked the RAZR but i'd like something with a bit better camera and/or expandable memory...I was offered either the black or the silver RAZR for $150...No other special deals...I'm looking to spend $200 or less on a phone and i must get it from Cingular(no ebay, b/s/t or anything like that)...PLEASE HELP!!!

Thanks

Jeff

Can you explain? Not sure how you can activate service without a telephone. Maybe I misunderstood your original message. Did you supply your own equipment?

I did supply my own equipment...I had an unlocked RAZR that i put the new Cingular SIM in when i got the service

I hate to say this but I think thats probably going to be your best bet.

someone in the Moto section of the forum said that he also dropped his Razr in his pool and he sent it to Moto where they were able to repair the phone.

the only problem is that he had to pay them something like $200 to fix the damn thing. for that kind of money, I wouldve said the hell with that phone and just bought a new one from ebay or something.

I was mostly posting to ask people if there are any other really good feature-filled phones from Cingular for less than $200

But you never can get the smell of *** out of a cellphone that took a swim in the bowl. I mean MAYBE if it can be used bluetooth only, but would you really want to hold that thing up to your head and talk into it knowing you had to rescue it from being sunk by the big brown steaming sub moving towards it? ha ha ha.... I'd have to really think a few times about just taking the loss and flushing.

Guess it could have been worse

That doesn't mean the bowl was clean.
