Need correct usb drivers for lg5450

I got a cable today and used the drivers off of the cd,wen i open bitpim and try to access the file system i get
LG-VX6000 on COM3: The phone is not responding while transitioning mode from none to brew
I'm assuming this is a driver isssue???
