Multiple Contacts with the same number

So I have a problem that I find hard to believe is unique. I just got my SMT5600 (love it!) and of course I synced it with my Outlook contacts and of course, many of them being corporate contacts, they share main phone numbers. Now of course, when my phone rings I dont want it to show me one particular contact, but rather the company name.
I've tried achieving this by creating a "contact" with the companies name, but it still shows the callers name as one of the individual contacts. Anyone have any experience with this?

I know what you mean. i have noticed that my 5600 will ALPHABETICALLY select the 1st contact with a duplicated phone number.
To get around this, i had to put punctuation before the name i wanted to have displayed (like "!dom").
Desktop Outlook may have a setting for this, but i haven't found it.

don't know if this is relevant but on the mpx 220 you can assign default numbers to callers so i have reps mobiles defaulted but their shared office number defaulted under the office address and name contact that way when they ring from their mobile i get their name and mobile number shown but when ringing from the office it shows the company name and office number.

This problem is evident in every phone I've seen - that is, every phone on which I've tried to assign the same number for multiple contacts. I learned my lesson after the first couple phones so now I only assign a number to one contact (the most favorable, I guess), regardless of who's number it might actually be.
I have searched high and low for a solution, but I think the only way to solve it might be a second contacts management list in which you are able to assign default contacts to numbers in addition to default numbers to contacts - a reverse of the status quo to couple the contact lists already in place.
