I have finally made the switch from Verizon to Cingular. I have 29 days to determine if this was a wise move on my part.

I decided to purchase the SE s710a. So far I have been pretty busy trying to figure out on my own how to change things and all the little fun things about this unit.

I am wanting to move my Phonebook from my LG VX6000 to this phone. If anyone can help/point in the right direction, please do so. I do understand this is most likely not possible. I did use BitPim when I first got my LG. Can this program also be used for the Sony s710a?

I won't mind if I have to manually type each entry (about 250 contacts) but I would dread having to manually enter them into the phone itself. Typing them out on the computer would still take some time, but not like putting them into the phone one by one.

If there are any other links out there that I seem to not have seen, please link me!

The s710 has bluetooth. If your pc has bluetooth than just use any bluetooth software with Microsoft Outlook. Create the contacts in Outlook then bluetooth them to the SE. I have a SE T637 and use Broadcom's Widcom bluetooth driver(best I've ever used and came with my $19.99 Zonet Bluetooth Dongle), but I know that SE has bluetooth syncronization software available free on their website, that is used specifically to sync with Outlook. It puts a button in Outlook, and when you click it, it automatically syncs with your phone. If you don't have any other bluetooth sync software, download that and try it.

you don't need BitPim, unless you need to d/l the phonebook off the LG. Use BT with the SE software, or Float's Mobile Agent.

I have been looking on SonyEricsson's website, but still haven't ran into the software. I thought I would check out what was included on the one CD-ROM disk that was in the box:
MSAC-USM1
Operating Instructions
USB Driver
Memory Stick Formatter ver. 2.2

Is there any importance of this stuff?

I don't have my phonebook saved except for through Bitpim. Will Outlook be able to ingest everything that Bitpim will want to throw at it, and make it all format correctly?

Thanks everyone for helping out!

Thought BitPim only works w/ CDMA phones?

This is the best way to sync a SE phone with Outlook or whatever PIM software you're using... tell BitPim to export the contacts to Outlook, and use this method:
