Help with BITPim and phone connection

Hey guys first time poster here..... now i bought the usb cable and have already succesfully uploaded ringtones and wall papers to my phone.... i went to use it today and for some reason i get an error when i click send phone data..... it reads "COM4: could not open port: (2, 'Create','The system can not find the file specified')"....... No idea why this is the case.... i tried using a different song.... same thing..... ????? any ideas?????

- Did you try powering off, then powering the phone back on and then sending the data?
- By chance did you plug in another USB device that might have grabbed your COM port?

i might have done option number 2 with the com port.... how would i go about correcting that????

If you plug the cable in the same USB outlet then you should not be running into the second option but it is fairly easy to double check as shown below:
Depeinding on the OS you are running these steps may vary but on XP Professional you can check what COM Ports are currently in use by doing the following:
- Open Device Manager (Located within Start Menu, Settings, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Computer Management, System Tools)
- In the Device Manager go to Ports (COM & LPT)
- Confirm if you see a device using the Com Port you want to use for BITPim.
- If something is using it then either remove it or you can double click the device, go to Port Settings, Click Advanced and you can change the port number for that device.
