S40 metallic sound when talking - PLEASE help!

While my ericsson t39 is away for repair (it's just a few months old) I decided to get a used S40. I love the phone and everything seems to be working well. EXCEPT that there is a slight metallic sound that appears in the speaker when I talk to people. It's as though the sound vibrates something metal that is lose inside. Any idea what it can be and what I could do about it?

I seem to get somewhat of the same thing with my S40. Out of all the phones I own and have owned in the past, this one has the most metallic-y sound coming out of the speaker when its in use. I would'nt say a rattling sound per se, but kinda like it's not the best quality speaker in a cell phone. It's loud eneugh all right, but just the quality can be better I find.

As to fixing the problem, sorry, I can't really help you out here. I leave mine as it is, since it's only my loner phone for when I go out clubbin'.

And that's my 2 cents.

I had that too! REALLY annoying. A buzzing/rattling sound when you talked.

Mine went away after a few days, however. I don't know where the problem originated and why it went away.

Huh?

I don' think the problem is related. Besides, my experience with those codes is that they are the quickest way to crash your phone. I'm actually unable to make a call with EFR off, and the process of activating/deactivating it occasionally causes the phone to hang. I don't recommend it.
