hi guys. i'm a new mpx 220 owner and very proud of the phone.
i don't know if this is possible. i have a .wav audio file (around 2 seconds) and wish to make it as my sms alert tone. the wav file is already in the phone memory (i transfered it from one folder to another, i.e., in sounds folders, my documents folder, windows folder, etc) but when i go to sms alert options, it isn't there. where do i have to save this wav file so that it will be one of my choices in sms alert tones?
many thanks.

Are we not able to use mp3's as SMS and voicemail alerts? I have them in the /storage/application data/sounds directory...

nope, somehow only wav are accepted for those alerts.
I'm not quite sure but I think i read somewhere there's a way around it.. but can't remember where *might be wrong too*

thanks. actually, based on my post above, i have tried that already hoping that my recorded wav sound would already be one the choices for sms alerts. when i go to settings > sounds > new sms message:, the recorded wav file isn't in the list.

You have to go to the File Manager and find the file. Click on the wav file to preview the file, then click on the menu button and save the file. It will then appear in your list.

thanks. if you would go back to my original post, i stated there that the wav file has been transfered from 1 location to another. this is only possible when that wav file was saved on the phone. i even tried to rename the file but still it is not in the list. (by the way, i did try your suggestion first by looking for the file, then went to menu but it cannot be saved anymore because it is already stored in the memory).
