problem exploring files on activesync

I cannot access the files on my smt 5600 using activesync.
I open explore and Mobile Device shows up on the address bar but no files are visible in the window pane.
i have tried double clicking the mobile device icon and selecting different views but nothing comes up showing the files.
The explore has worked before but it is not working now.
It quit working when I cut and pasted some pictures.
any ideas on getting explore to work again?
