In our house we barely get a signal. We can send/receive calls some times, but mostly the call will get distorted, and then finally will be lost.

I did some searching on the forums, and found some information, but nothing that satisfied me enough to make a purchase. A lot of the antennas that I found are antennas that you attach to your car to improve signal inside your car! see this

We can send/receive calls just outside our house, or even the street, it's just that we live in a subdivision called "North Forest," and it lives up to it's name, we are surrounded by trees, and I think that it may interfere with our signal.

Like the title of the thread says, our family has three lines, the v3, the v551, and the z500a. I know about those external antennas that you can plug into the back of your phone, if you phone has a port, but from what I've read and seen, my v3 does not have this port, so it does no good for me.

I really think that those outside antennas that you point towards a cell tower may work for me, but I'm not sure. I know for a fact that I cannot afford a repeater, I'm hoping to find a solution for under 100.00.

Like I said, we can get a slight signal in our house, so I'm wondering if that car antenna may be the thing just for me, would I need to just buy one and place it near a window?

For something like this, would I need to have something hooked up to my phone the entire time for the improved signal? Because that would be very annoying

Any help is grateful!
