I am new to this forum and after hours of searching i couldn't find any link or how to that tells me how to put ringtones (mp3 or mid) onto my VX8100 without using a data cable. I have the SD card and reader, I just need to know if there is anyway to do this without a data cable. Somebody please help.

no. you need a data cable because you have to update the file that has the information about your ringtones on your phone. so, no you can't do it with out a data cable or bluetooth connection.

thanks, that helps a lot. i had heard rumors that there was a way to jus modify the sound files and then put them on the SD card and do it that way. but i guess nor. thanks a lot. use this post for any updates on this topic tho.
