Hi, there was a post here within the last few weeks regarding how someone figured out how to maintain a their ability to Activesync over bluetooth and also maintain their ability (though not simultaneously) to connect to a BT-enabled GPS.

The problem lies in the fact that when a BT connection with a GPS receiver is established, I can no longer activesync over BT, and a repairing of the devices is then required.

The fix involved a reg hack I believe allowing more than one outgoing (or incoming) BT port on the 5600.

Searching on these boards is impossible with Boolean search aids, unless I am completely dense and don't know how to use them here.

You can find this on my blog. I can use GPS or any other BT device or connection when using my BT headset simultaneously without a problem.

Hmmm...thanks, but using 2 BT devices simultaneously is not the problem. It's a known problem wherein the poster was able to solve the problem w/ a reg hack.

No, Using two devices simultaneously is the problem if I read your intial question correctly...which I may not be. You want to use a GPS reciever (device 1) and still be able to ActiveSync with your computer (device 2) correct? This is the same as me wanting to use my GPS reciever (device 1) and still use my BT headset (device 2)...this requires a registry edit, so indeed you two want to use 2 devices at the same time or be able to have both connected to your phone and still use them without one failing to work properly. I do not think you can do this with any ROM other than a Asian ROM but I do recall that there was an addition registry edit to get around this too. In either case, try what I have in my blog and see if it solves your problem, it doesn't hurt to give it a try. If this isn't what your talking about and I got it all wrong then let me know lol maybe I am confusing myself.
