Alright, im looking at getting one of these phones. The thing is I have been reading about issues with poor reception with the w800 because of the band range. I'm a full cingular customer, towards the bottom of California, and Im wondering which would give me the best reception. I know about flashing and all that, and I love both phones. Im not sure if the K750i has the same problem with the band range. Thanks for your help

Both phones are 900/1800/1900, no 850 band. Although I did read that there is a version of the k750 which has the 850 band and was recently ok'd by the FCC. No word on a release date or anything on that though, so I wouldn't hold my breath.

dont get the k750 or the w800i if you plan to use cingular .. you will have serius signal issues. w800i signal is not that good at all ..

Man, your using Cingular all the way in BOLIVIA?

I have Cingular Blue in Northern California and have no problems, whereas T-Mobile users I know have several problems getting a signal and holding it. There are a few board members who have the w800 in Southern Ca & I don't think they reported any issues. In other words get the w800 if you got the funds.

My w800 is arriving in the next hour or so care of FedEx and I am on Cingular. I've read about people not having issues in my area (Seattle) so hopefully I'll be alright. I'll have my trusty s710a as a backup should I need it

i went for the k750 because of the price. i can always get a bigger mem stick later on. i had cingular and got out of it because i couldn't get signal with it. i switched over to tmobile and haven't had any problems with it. this is in my area of course, not sure about yours.
