Nokia 6230i coming to Cingular?

6230i is never comming to Cingular and the regular 6230 is being replaced by 6102 and the next Nokia flip

That's too bad

I was really looking forward to this phone coming to Cingular. It's one of the very few phones that has all of the features I'm looking for (including Class 10 EDGE speeds).

Cignular is going to carry 3 Nokia flip phone by hopefully sometime mid next year

there is going to be a high end phone, mid end(6102) and a basic flip phone...

The models have not been announced yet

The 6102 has been up on the web site for 4 or 5 days...

Basic flip will most likely be the 2651. Before someone even asks the question, here.

The 6102 being a flip phone is definately a nice feature, but lets look at the downsides to it versus the 6230i, starting with the most important to me.

1. No BlueTooth on the 6102.
2. The 6230i class 10 EDGE, the 6102 is class 6.
3. Camera is 1+mp on the 6230i, 640x480 on the 6102.
4. Higher screen resolution on the 6230i (208x208).
5. No multimedia expansion slot on the 6102.

There are a few more, but the two things that I wish Nokia had done with this phone was Bluetooth and class 10 EDGE.

Folks...how many of these freakin 6230i threads are going to be started???

The 6230i is a 900 phone. Not 850. There IS NO 850 band version. Cingular IS NOT going to carry this phone!!!

That is an error on the site...it's been hashed and re-hashed here many times. Once again...there is no 850 band or planned 850 band Nokia 6230i...if you do a search you'll find the old discussions...sorry.

man aint that the truth..you would think mid-high end phone they would make them quadband..r atleast release a 850 version. just like the 6230i
