MPX220 - Charging port or Battery?

My MPX220 just drop dead on me. Two days ago, I had problem charging using the AC wall charger. I search the forum and found some MPX220 have similar problem, so I use their solution and charge my phone using USB cable instead. Today charging using USB cable also acting funny. Sometimes, the phone would lose connection with the computer. Now even the USB cable cannot charge the phone and it is now dead with low bat.

Before I send it off for service, just wondering would it be possible the battery, not taking charge and causing problem?

Also any others encountered similar problem?

My phone was brought in Asia, I think I may need to send it back to get service.

I use to have that problem all the time, I would have to plug in and out the USB cable or charger cable until it finally recognized that it was plugged in. But now, after I upgraded to ROM 3.45, I rarely have that problem anymore.

You might want to try flashing your phone to one of the newer ROMs. My phones Asian too, from Hong Kong.
