From AT&T Blackberry to Cingulat SMT5600

This might sound complicated -- buy I'm stuck. My job gave me a Blackberry 7290 that had an AT&T sim. I already had a SMT5600 with Cingluar. I've been able to unlock the SMT5600 and the phone part works fine with the work sim. However, I can't seem to connect to my work's mail server like I could with the SMT5600. My connection used to be sync.workname.com with my password. Same settings after unlocking and installing the sim into the SMT5600 receive an error that I don't have network access.

Any thoughts?

The SMT will only do Active Sync. The Blackberry requires a server. Does you corporate email system have MS Active Sync capability?

Thanks for responding. The company does have active sync server. I finally received the correct proxy settings and everything is working. They key was to get the eemode settings -- which must be am AT&T holdover.

Great. You can get the Global Address Lookup software off the Windows Mobile Site to install on your 5600 so that you can look up email names/address in Outlook.
