Nokia 6102 Volume

Many of the reviews I read abut this phone mentioned that the ear piece volume and speakerphone levels are low. Now that I've bought the phone, I can attest that its true. Will Nokia possibly release a firmware update to fix this problem? Or is it even possible to change it? If not, I'll certainly return it.

nobody wanted to listen to me when I said this earlier...coming from a motov551 I can promise you that that alone was enough to make me get my RMA number to return it to letstalk

Low audio was also the reason I didn't keep the 6102. My Nokia 3100 has a louder and clearer speakerphone then the 6102. No Letstalk RMA for me, I made $30.00 selling mine on Ebay the next day!

What's with a lot of newer phones with low factory volume levels ?
Moto Vxxx series
Nokia 6102
NEC 525 ( was an AT&TWS POS anyways)

At least there's a nice hack / seem edit for the Moto's that work fine for me.
My Samsung x426, e316, as well as Nokia 6010, Moto Timeport P7382i and Siemens S46 were all plenty loud and are usable outdoors.

was on mine too...the bottom line is low is obviously relative...if you're used to a loud phone like the motorola v551 or any other phone you can hear in a relatively noisy room then the 6102 doesnt compare...if all you've had is low speaker and ear volume then you wont notice the noticeable difference
