It manages phonebook, schedule and datas... with the data cable.

I have to credit the mysterious guy who sent me the software. (m8 you're the one !)

so, no way to do it via irda???

Posted by: nicobox

No. the SW detect your mobile on Com1 and Com2 ports only...
irDa is not mentionned.

Now, now MDS we all know if you want to transfer via IrDA then you do not need any software! This stuff is pretty cool. I formated the comma delimited export from my contacts in outlook and imported into my mobile. It seems slower than IrDA but it runs unattended when transfering large numbers of files. Pretty cool!

but then if it had bt and the transfer was possible that way that would be awesome....

I hear it is comming!

Oh man!! Come on...you need to stop doing this!!
Every time i read the threads I find one more good new from you!
So you asked for it...

Tell me more about it... What do you mean? Upgrade?

Posted by: [MDS]

i think bt will become a standard feature on all new phones very soon....

Posted by: nicobox

lost_rebel, you definitly need to be renammed to spy_rebel !!!

Actually, I am not that good but I live in proximity to one of the pana design centers. So I have been blessed to meet a few engineers from Pana out and about. Because I work the electronics world as well I usually recipicate with information about other products in the world.

got my data cable today, i could test the software !
Very nice, a little slow but usefull.
the only cons is that you have to move files to irda folder to make up/downloads with PC.

phonebook and schedule manager are efficient.

oh, is it possible to change the ugly schedule tone ?

Hi Guys, now what data cable will work with the GD87/88?

I had a cable for the GD 92 but it does not work.

any help would be appreiated as to where i can get the cable from.

Thanks

Posted by: lost_rebel

It should work. If there is a switch on it, try the SMS position instead of the data position.

Posted by: lacroix

It does not have that option, i need to find the one with the Data option on it.

Any suggestions as where to find one?

Posted by: lost_rebel

The GD92 cable that I used to have had a switch marked as data on one side and SMS on the other. With my allure, I had to put the cable in the SMS position to get it to work. My allure data cable that I bought later (much longer) works with my GD87.

Thanks Lost_Rebel.

Now i just have to figure out a way to get one.

The cable i have is no good.

does anyone know where i can get one in toronto?

Posted by: nicobox

i've got an url for data cable... in france !
15 euros. not very expensive...

you should live in france .. moreover : crash bandicoot is available here

Posted by: lost_rebel

Try the rogers wireless store. Ask for the Panasonic Allure datacable. That is what I am currently using

Posted by: lacroix

Thanks guys i will check it out and maybe fly to france to get one if needed.

Posted by: nicobox

Nope, this has been hashed in a couple of other threads

Posted by: oneal

Thanks for the software!! You are our the Best!!

Posted by: lost_rebel

It is very convienent but it would be nicer if it was integrated with Outlook and gave better status on it's connection with the mobile. I do not understand why it can only see the received folder (it was a pain to move all of the pictures to this folder) but FAR FAR FAR better than nothing

Posted by: nicobox

Nice to see you Oneal !
i got problems to answer your mail this afternoon...
