I think the only difference with my setting is that I left my port as 8080. See if that works.

Posted by: aznpharm

tried 8080 now it's giving me error:502 bad gateway

Posted by: aznpharm

I GUESS IT DOESN'T HELP WHEN TZONES HAS A NATIONAL OUTAGE

i have a d500 on t-mobile uk

i have similar settings to yours except my ip address is meant to be 149.254.211.010

the problem with this is, for some reason, the 0 from the last 010 (has anyone else experienced this?), keeps getting erased everytime i save the settings so it reads 149.254.211.10

i am able to access t-zones with http://wap.t-mobile.co.uk (and the above settings) but am not able to send/receive picture messages. it responds with 'cannot connect to server'.

i tried the ip address you have (out of sheer desperation after weeks of trying to get it to work) and it returned 'server not responding', which i guess was expected seeing as you're on t-mobile usa.

the problem is, t-mobile uk are not due to have this phone released until late january 2005, so all i can do is wait for them to release it before asking them for the settings.

Are the settings for the D500 similar to the P735 or D415? I would think the WAP and MMS settings would be closer to the D415, right?

I used the settings for the P735 from T-Mobile's website since it is most similar to the D500 in terms of features and specs. But it shouldn't be too different from the D415 either.

still not working?

Posted by: ima4nspy

i had the same prob. mine works fine now i got the same errors on port 8080 but one time i tried it just to double check and it worked. i was also told to try switching the band from the 1900 to the 900/1800 then going back. no sure if that actually does anything but i tried it and it didn't work. but like i said, 8080 just started working one day for me. i hope this helps.

In previous Samsungs, T-Mobile had three profiles as the first one was for GPRS, the second was for CSD (if GPRS network was not available) and the third one was for basically roaming and to get it back on GPRS after going through the first two profiles.

That said, I just looked on my E635 and there is only one Profile which is the first one I listed for WAP.

Profile1 Info
1. Profile Name: T-Mobile GPRS
2. GPRS Setting:
+1. Gateway:
+++1. IP address: 216.155.165.50
+++2. IP port: 9201

+3. Login ID: anonymous
+4. Password:
+5. APN: wap.voicestream.com

3. Homepage URL: http://wap.myvoicestream.com/

-----------------------------------------------------------------
For MMS, I have these from my E635 as well.

MMS Settings

1. Profile Name: T-Mobile USA MMS
2. Server URL: http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
3. GSM Setting: (leave blank as mine was)
4. GPRS Setting:

+++2. IP port: 9201
+2. APN: wap.voicestream.com
5. Bearer: GPRS only

This is for T-Mobile WAP/MMS

IF it says network unavailable, the settings are correct, but the GPRS network for T-Mobile is either down or not even present in the area/location you are at trying to use it.

I've had that problem before in other places that the signal was either too weak or non-existent meaning they didn't have GPRS available in or on the network/towers. If I went to a different location such as 5 or 10 away, and tried to logon, it would work. This goes for any provider as I use MEdia Net on Cingular and T-MobileWeb/T-Zones on T-Mobile.

Ask someone else that has T-Mobile and see if they are able to access T-MobileWeb/T-Zones in the same area/location you are trying to access it. If they are able to, then it's your phone, if they get the same "network unavailable" then it means there is no GPRS network or equipment on the tower you are using.

I've tried both the settings I got off of my E635 and some of the other ones posted and still couldn't get it to work with my D600 for T-MobileWeb on my T-Mobile account.

I got the Cingular settings from the D500 thread and it works just fine for my Cingular account. Even posted from it a few times and sent some picture messages and received picture messages with my Cingular SIM it.

I don't know what is the problem with trying to get it work with T-Mobile as I'm not going to persue it anymore as my D600 is working with my Cingular account and I'm satisfied using my E635 for my T-Mobile account.

Posted by: zan786

I have a d500 that receives no cell phone reception at all with tmobile usa. What do you think the problem is. I changed the bands and bandwiths and it still dosent work. I called tmobile and they said there is a problem with the phone. Does it need a firmware upgrade? and if so which one?

Posted by: Mango808

Update: I figured out why it wasn't working. I had used the *#4777*8665# GPRS Tool code and had the GPRS Setting on EGPRS. terryjohnson16 mentioned in another thread that his T-Zones stopped working on his E730 when he had it on EGPRS, but worked again after he put it back on GPRS. So I switched mine back to GPRS and got my T-Zones/T-MobileWeb working with my T-Mobile SIM and settings.

1. Profile Name: T-Mobile GPRS
2. GPRS Setting:
+1. Gateway:
+++1. IP address: 216.155.165.50
+++2. IP port: 8080 <--I had to switch it from 9201 to 8080 to get it to work.

Go these settings to work on my P777 in the Cincinnati area.

Profile Name- GPRS
Homepage URL- http://wap.myvoicestream.com
Bearer- GPRS
Proxy Setting- 216.155.165.050 Port- 8080
Username- Leave Blank
Password- wap
APN- wap.voicestream.com
Proxy- Activate

It seems you have to leave the proxy inactive, go under primary DNS, enter
216.155.165.050, save that setting then go make the proxy activate and set the port to 8080. Had a heck of a time figuring this out. Hope it helps.

You can't change it's settings if it's locked to T-mobile service.

Set Name:
Access Name:
Auth Type: Have options for None, Secure, Normal
User ID:
Password:
Protocol: Have options for HTTP, WAP, Other
Home URL:
Proxy Address:
Port:
Linger Time (sec.):

There is an advanced settings which gives the option of checking static IP and Static DNS.
If I check Static IP, I have to type in a local phone IP.
If I check Static DNS, I have to type in a server1 (ipaddress?)
and
Traffic Class: Have options for Interactive, Background, Subscribed, Conversation, Streaming.

Same options for MMS.

Someone please help me, please

I recently viewed these threads posted here and finally figured out how to send a picture/mms message to one of my Cingular friends using my Samsung D600 on T-Mobile. However, when I receive picture/mms messages back from her and go to retrieve them I get the message "URL Not Found". I'm wondering if this is a problem with my Tmobile network or if it has something to do with her Cingular network. My settings are as follows and if anyone could offer any advice, I would greatly appreciate it. I have an Unbranded Samsung D600 and am using on T-Mobile USA. I do not currently pay for T-Zones. Please help if you can. If you have any questions, let me know.

Evergreendrive, who would you unlock it from the service, that would require more than a sim unlock?

Thanks

Take a look at the settings used for the Z540 being used on Cingular in the thread linked below for an idea about what to put in the Linger and DNS settings for T-Mobile.

Cingular MEdia Net & MMS Settings: z540, z548, Vodafone 804ss

Don't know if it's too late, but I have it working on mine. But for some reason it won't view certain videos (eg I can't see videos sent from my friend's Chocolate) and it gets diverted to myT-Mobile. If that is the problem, I'm thinking it's a compatibility issue.

But if that's not the case, double check on what I have on Connection Settings. It works for me in Los Angeles, CA:

Profile Name:
T-Mobile MMS (according to this site, it can be anything)
Homepage URL:
http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
Proxy:
Checked
IP Address:
216.155.165.50
Port:
8080
Linger time:
can be ignored, leave at 90
DNS:
unchecked
Bearer:
GPRS
Advanced Settings;
-APN:
wap.voicestream.com
-Login ID:
leave blank
-Password:
wap

I saw somewhere around this forum that a member had the password wap so I decided to put it and it started working for me.

I'm trying to get the T-mobile settings for t-zone web access. I've searched here, but I can't seem to find it. If someone who uses T-zone could tell me what their web settings are, (or if there's a thread about it a link would be awesome) I would greatly appreciate it. TIA

Posted by: jbbons25

Name
T-Mobile

Homepage
http://wap.myvoicestream.com

IP Address
216.155.165.50

Port
8080

Bearer
GPRS

APN

The rest leave blank/unchecked except for Linger Time (leave as is)

Yes, same here. Same phone, same situation. Anyone who has info, please chime in. Thanks in advance.

How did you get settings...I have SERVER NOT RESPONDING with T-MOBILE on a JAVA application, that tries to login into a web site, used to work...I am trying to debug.??

I have tried to get my D900i set up, but it simply will not connect. Samsung insists it's a UK phone and they won't/can't support it.

T-Mo is clueless. I'm annoyed because I'm paying for the service but it's not working on this phone.

I've tried the T-Mo text message set-up several times--no luck.

Hi all,

Sorry if this was asked before - I cant find it.
I just got my Samsung SGH-U600 and I cant figure out what setting to change for Internet, WAP, MMS etc.

If I go to Connetion Settings,
there are a bunch of things:

MyGlobe GPRS
Smart GPRS
SUN WAP GPRS
My Globe MMS
Smar MMS
Sun MMS
MyGlobe Internet
SmartInternet
SunInternet.

What is all that. Do Ihave to change them all or what.
And please does anyone have the settings I'm supposed to use with T-Mobile USA?

Thanks so much,
Matt

This worked for me on my Samsung E840! However, when I send myself backgrounds from my personal email to 1234567890@tmomail.net (my phone), it resizes to only about 10% of the original?

Help please!
