That phone is from Europe (Germany I guess). What Toulumne is saying is that the FCC has approved a version of that phone for the US, which may come to Cingular - it the US version has the proper bands.

To me, it's yet another Samsung, all of them look alike once you open the flip. The only good thing is that they may finally bring a clamshell with internal antenna to Cingular.
