Need help with Siemens SX66

First off I can not get the wireless internet to work at all. I've entered my key and selected my network and it always says its not connected to check the settings. The wireless antenna is definitely turned on too because I turned it on.

Second off I can not get the phone to work with my Jabra BT800 headset. It locates it but it won't pair with it.

And then last but not least everytime I try to sync the sx66 it runs the install software and makes me rename it because the name is in use and won't let me select the previous name.

Any help is greatly appreciated. I've had this thing a few hours and absolutely hate it so far.

I tried both of those with no luck. I've even updated the rom, radio, and extended roms on it and can not get it to connect to my wireless internet.

When I updated the extended rom, rom and radio the bluetooth started to work. So the bluetooth is good now.

My battery life really really sucks though. I'm getting around 5 hrs max with maybe 1 hr talk time.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

The SX66 only supports Wireless B. Did you make sure your router is set to allow Mixed Mode (both G and B) connections?

Yeah I have a triband wireless setup that works with a, b, and g so it should work. It detects it but says it can't connect to it. I'm assuming I have a setting wrong somewhere but can't figure out what.

I have had serious issues pairing this phone w/ Jabra headsets...actually the pairing part is fine it's the quality once paired. I found nokia headsets to be very compatible along w/ the mots

Anytime you re-flash or hard reset the device Windows will recognize it as a different device. It's a problem with Activesync and not the phone.

BT Should be improved with Build 3900. Audio quality has always been a problem on the HTC devices.

I noticed that with Cingular's version of the ROM Ihad a lot of problems with the wireless (Had to reset to conenct, re-enter the key in the network settings, etc.). ROM 1.40 is better at it but it does still have some issues. Usually turning it off, doing a soft reset, and turning it abck on works pretty well (assuming all your keys/authentication is set up properly)

have you tried taking off any firewall, encryptions, etc... to see if it connects that way...if it does then it has something to with your router settings...as far as active sync goes if you wanna use the same name your previously had go to the active sync folder and delete your previous one then you should be alright....hope this helps....cheers....
