Has anyone gotten animated gifs to work on the 8100?
Is there a tutorial somewhere?

Animated gifs work beautifully on the 8100. You will need to use a card-reader to copy them as gifs to the minsd memory card into My_pix directory( created by the minsd). If you use the Bitpim wallpaper menu it converts them

Possibly it could also be done through bitpim's filesysystem, but the card-reader is faster and easier and direct! Load them as the gifs they are!

Do you have a step by step for dummies? LOL
I will get the card and card reader.
Where is the best place to get it and exactly what do I look for?

prolly same for the reader althogujh my laptop has it built in

all you do is put the gifs on your mini sd card and pop it in your phone.

i actually made a gif with my name on www.flamingtext.com and it locks my phone up once in a while when opening and closing it...

When I right click on a gif and "save as" it isn't animated when I view it then! Am I doing something wrong? I save it to my desktop.

This is the best site I have seen and I just R click copy and save to computer. Then you can use bitpim or qpst to save them to my_pics on the phone or miniSD card.
