i just wanted to know if i Unlock the phone, the phone is going to work on cingular network? (used to be in ATT network)

i'm local in Sw florida.

Yes, that's what unlocking does - an unlocked phone allows the use of another provider's SIM card. However, when it comes to internet browsing or MMS, this is not guaranteed as sometimes the firmware is customised to the original provider, so you might not be able to change settings.
