Voice based calendar - developers wanted.

Why are phones so text based? My vx8100 can hold a 1gb miniSD card, recognize simple voice commands and spoken numbers, and can record and play short audio clips.

Where is the software that will place a voice memo in a calendar and use voice recognition to select date and time. While walking down the street we could record or listen to a week's worth of appointments in our own words - without pecking in any text.

With the right search algorithm the phone could even find appointments with "key words" by matching audio to audio instead of text to text.

The "voice scheduler" was a feature in the LG VX4500 - 6000 models. Does anyone know why it was phased out of later models?

What would it take to make this happen?

Text is just a technology for recording words for future reference. Words are a technology for communicating thoughts. Why go to the unnecessary third step (text) when all a schedule needs to do is communicate your plans to yourself (words)?
