After all the trouble and failure, I am able to get my phone back to live by following the following instruction http://e398essentials.wikispaces.org/pds_creation

I hope everyone can have the same luck. A further note, at step 4, I could not bring up the bootloader screen, it looks like the phone is in suspension mode and I could see it in MFF. I use MFF to flash v398 and it works.

congrats.... so i guess this guide is effective. it's like everyone seems to bring their phone alive.

i've also been in the same situation with what you call a "suspension mode" very scary stuff, and I was able to flash a previously made backup

I don't think there's a way to permanently kill this phone (besides physical damage, I've seen someone stab a knife through their e398 on this forum hahha)
